What load class do I need for a road?

EN 124 D400 is the carriageway class, rated for 40 tonnes test load, and covers roads and hard shoulders. B125 is 12.5 tonnes and suits footways, pedestrian areas and car parks with light traffic. If covers sit anywhere vehicles run, specify D400.

Why two triangular covers instead of one?

Each half is light enough to lift by hand rather than needing lifting keys and two people. The diagonal joint is self-centring on reseating, and it stays clamped under traffic instead of rocking.

What is GRP provision?

A recess cast into the cover to take a glass-reinforced plastic sealing plate, used where the chamber below must be sealed against odour or water ingress.

Can you supply sizes other than those listed?

A double triangular cover seats two triangular castings against a diagonal bearing bar. Each half is light enough to lift by hand, the seating is self-centring, and the diagonal joint stays clamped under traffic rather than rocking. Supplied with GRP provision where a sealing plate is required.
